Bernard Jenkin MP visits PLF International

Bernard Jenkin, MP for Harwich and North Essex, has visited PLF International’s head office in Harwich, Essex.

Mr. Jenkin was welcomed to PLF’s premises to uncover how the company’s powder filling machinery and production lines have contributed to impressive market growth and penetration over the last five years, including a turnover in excess of £25million.

PLF’s CEO Mark Emond guided the local MP around the extensive factory floor, as well as the newly built technology centre. Mark said: “We’re incredibly pleased Bernard Jenkin MP has visited us in Harwich. The factory floor was at full capacity, so it was great opportunity to show him the detailed design and engineering work that is completed at the facility, before it is shipped to destinations across the globe, such as New Zealand, India or Brazil.”

Commenting on his visit, Bernard Jenkin MP said: “PLF is a remarkable company and a prime example of the potential of the Harwich area for businesses. They are a real British success story built on the hard work of everyone involved. They utilise a local supply chain, which benefits the local economy and creates world-class technology and expertise right on our doorstep.”
